The ability to see funny things in our everyday life is a talent, but the ability to communicate it to other people is a talent squared. There are many ways to share your observations. The simplest and the funniest is caricature, which doesn't need translation.
So let's look for, draw and laugh together – with the whole world!
On March 28, 2009 in the Poltava Art Gallery the inauguration of the 8th International exhibition of cartoons "Carluka-2009" took place. The themes were "Gogol's World" and "Free Theme".
This year 860 works from 232 cartoonists from 48 countries of the world came (CIS countries, old and new Europe, Asia, Middle East, Oceania, Australia, Latin America, USA, Canada). The organizer of the exhibition – The Administration of Culture of the Poltava City Executive Committee, the advertising agency "Astreya-Reklama". The exhibition is held under the aegis of the Poltava mayor Andrey Matkovskiy.

On March 10, the meeting of the jury of the International cartoon contest "Carluka-2009" took place.
The chairman of the contest's jury – Sergey Tyunin (Russia) – cartoonist, world-known illustrator of Gogol's works.
